Mary Esther Carrarini, former resident of Fremont, Ca. and resident of Maricopa, Az. since 2008, died on Sunday March 16, 2025, surrounded by family. Esther was born in Beverly, Ma. on July 7, 1935, to Mario and Terrasina Revolti and had two siblings. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 38 years Frank Charles Carrarini, life companion Harry Deiffenbach, brother Joseph Revolti, and sister Margherita Clemeno. 

Esther and Frank were united in marriage on April 28, 1958, and resided in Fremont where they raised their family until Frank’s passing in 1996. Esther subsequently relocated to Tracy in 2004, where she formed a companionship with Harry Dieffenbach. In 2007, Esther and Harry moved to Maricopa, Arizona where they lived together until Harry’s death in 2018. Several months before her own passing, Esther returned to Tracy, Ca. to be with her family.  

Esther is survived by her son John Carrarini (wife Sandi) and daughter’s Donna Martinez (husband Jason) and Lynne Singfook (husband John). She was a loving grandmother (Nonna) to seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Esther devoted her life to her family and was a devoted homemaker.  

She held various jobs throughout her life, including working as a stenographer, a teacher’s aide for special needs students, a volunteer at the Discovery Store in Fremont, and a yard duty teacher at Gomes Elementary School in Fremont. While in Arizona, Esther sewed dog toys for a greyhound rescue foundation and made sleeping mats and tote bags for homeless individuals. Esther was passionate about quilting and sewing and frequently engaged in a wide array of dice and card games with her numerous friends at the Residential Recreation Center in Arizona. 

A service will be held at Berge Pappas Smith Chapel of the Angels, located at 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA, on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 1 p.m. followed by a reception. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Sister John Marie’s Pantry instead of flowers.
