Alfred James Aguirre, husband, father, grandfather and friend, left us on Saturday, September 18th with his family by his side. He was 82.

Al was born on March 12, 1939 in Colorado. He was a musician from the age of 9 years old until his last days. Everyone enjoyed hearing him play the saxophone with his band or just playing for family and friends. He retired from America Can Company at the age of 50. He then started a second career as a barber in Dublin. He loved his customers as many became dear friends of his. He was loved by everyone that knew him and would stop to talk with people wherever he went. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Eva, of 55 years, his 4 children, 2 son in-laws and 5 grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 30th at 2:00pm, Berge Pappas Smith Chapel of the Angels in Fremont, CA.

Al, you were more than just an Uncle. You were a person I learned a lot from and respected you dearly. I am going to miss our talks, you playing music and the jokes and stories you told. Our times in the garage listening to music and having a few beers are memories I will cherish forever. Now you are playing the saxophone up in Heaven for the angels…

I Loved and now miss my brother Al. My childhood best friend. I have the memories of good times and our struggles and God and love brought our family through it all. Not unscathed but returned from battles with humble adoration and love for God. Al was very intelligent an intellectual in many academic achievements. He taught me while I lay dieing in Children’s Hospital. I received my high school diploma by the age of 7 and 5 AAs before I was 10 years old. Al was a good teacher. I died for 58 minutes and came back to life. I lost all my education was completely paralyzed and gained total amnesia. My memories are now better than then. I will always praise God for having a brother like Al. I pray he’s at peace singing with the Angels. And quit waking everybody up with that dang horn lol. I Love you always my dear brother Al RIP. Met Uncle Al when I first moved to California.A kid looking for his family.I found my Dad and in return found long lost aunts and uncles ,cousins I never knew I had.Uncle AL gave me my first straight razor shave.I gotta say I was a lil scared..he told me don’t worry I’m safe .I’m in the hands of family people that love me.I wasn’t afraid no more.He had a calming effect on people a smile you could trust and an instant connection that told you ,you were in good hands..I wish I had a chance to know you and the rest of my family more.May God bless you and let your warmth shine down on us all..love you Uncle Al..to rest of my family please reach out..5412603767..so we all don’t get lost in time..xoxoxo
